Mary Ann will serve as Artist in Residence for the East Alabama Arts Society August 14-17. She will do school performances, perform a free concert called American Stories: Carl Sandburg and his Songbag, and give a dinner theater performance of How the West Was Sung.

June 24- July 10, 2008 Lanier taught a vocal chamber music course at the New England Conservaroty Summer School. Six participants studied and performed music of Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Dvorak, Saint-Saens, Chanler, Foster, Lawes, J.S. Bach and others.

Lanier premieres Graham Gordon Ramsay's Be My Love: songs of love, lust and other folly at Follen Community Church, Lexington on Friday, February 10, 2006. The song cycle for soprano, violin, cello, and piano was commissioned by American Classics for Ms. Lanier. Texts are by Shakespeare, Marlowe, and Ralegh.
